Asthma Prevention
Asthma is a disorder of the lower airway (the portion of the airway within the lungs). Inflammation in these small airways throughout the lungs reduces the size of the airway opening and decreases the amount of air that can flow in and out of the lungs, providing necessary oxygen to the bloodstream. The inflammation that causes asthma can be triggered by multiple irritants or activities; many of the causes are unknown. In addition to the acute asthma attacks that are well recognized, chronic inflammation can also lead to permanent damage of the airways and lifelong respiratory disease. A visit to a Chicago asthma clinic for treatment is therefore important. The doctors at Advanced Center for Specialty Care are experienced in providing excellent asthma prevention and chronic management.
If you are concerned that you are suffering for asthma or have been diagnosed with asthma in the past but are not satisfied with your asthma medication treatment, make an appointment at the Advanced Center for Specialty Care. Dr. Siddiqi, a board-certified allergist and immunologist can review your medical history and symptoms, perform a physical exam, and determine the need for additional tests. If a diagnosis of asthma is made, Dr. Siddiqi can provide excellent asthma medication treatment options.
Options for asthma breathing treatment in Chicago include treatments for acute asthma prevention as well as chronic medical management. Some medications are in the form of pills while others are inhaled sprays. Following diagnosis and evaluation of disease severity, Dr. Siddiqi will determine which type of asthma medication treatment are necessary.
